I’m a huge Bruce Lee fan. His movies captivated me and moved me towards martial arts a young age. Beyond that his philosophy and his book Tao of Jeet Kun Do also gave me a lot of perspective on life beyond martial arts as well.
Naturally when I see this pair of pajamas online I had to buy them for my boy. And hence this impromptu photo shoot right before bed the other day! Check out the resulting images below coupled with some of my favorite Bruce Lee quotes that apply to life!
#1 – “Be happy, but never satisfied.”
#2 – “Adapt what is useful, reject what is useless, and add what is specifically your own.”
#3 – “I’m not in this world to live up to your expectations and you’re not in this world to live up to mine.”
#4 – “If you always put limits on everything you do, physical or anything else, it will spread into your work and into your life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there, you must go beyond them.”
#5 – “A goal is not always meant to be reached, it often serves simply as something to aim at.”
#6 – “It is not a daily increase, but a daily decrease. Hack away at the inessentials.”
#7 – “As you think, so shall you become.”
#8 – “The more we value things, the less we value ourselves.”
#9 – “The idea is that flowing water never goes stale, so just keep on flowing.”
#10 – Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.”
#BONUS – “Do not pray for an easy life, pray for the strength to endure a difficult one”
